I have clearly not been much of a pandemic era blogger, but I can't resist the annual urge to pick my favorite reads of the year and look at my statistics overall.
Here are the books I gave five stars to this year, loosely organized by genre.
HISTORICAL FICTION
MYSTERY
CONTEMPORARY
SPECULATIVE FICTION
NONFICTION
CLASSICS AND RE-READS
NOTICEABLE TRENDS IN MY READING LIFE
- Poe retellings

BOOK OF THE YEAR
On Jan 1st, I'll post my annual collection of charts and graphs.
Can't stop singing....
ReplyDeleteFuria was a top read for me, as was Everyone Dies Famous in a Small Town. I am excited that Méndez has an adult contemporary coming out, and I really hope Hitchcock has something new in the works as well.
Firekeeper's Daughter was my last read of 2021, and I LOVED it!!!!!! It is so worth all of the hype it has gotten!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that Firekeeper's Daughter has sat on my TBR shelf for too long unread. I have promised myself I will read it after I finish reading the CYBILS finalists for which I am a judge.
ReplyDeleteSo many people loved Firekeeper's Daughter - I definitely need to read that one! Good to see you in the blogosphere again!
