Top Reads of 2020 (so far!)

There ARE two more weeks in the year, and I DO have some books I'm very excited about reading over break...but this is what I have so far, in handy bookmark format. I printed them up and laminated them as stocking stuffers for people in my family who are big readers. They're alphabetical by title.

As for the absolute best of the best...Dig, Stamped, Fighting Words, and The Fifth Season. I can't choose between those! And given that these represent YA, nonfiction, middle grade, and adult, I feel pretty good about that.

  1. I just saw a review for Fighting Words today, and it was glowing. You both have me interested. King is alway good for something really thought provoking. I am so happy to see Not so Pure and Simple on your list. I am so glad I saw Justin Reynolds talking about it and gave it a try, because it was fantastic (and made one of my top of 2020 lists)

  2. I have only read Stamped from your ultimate list, but just saw a review of Fighting Words that makes it sound really good.

  3. I have only read two of these (I KNOW) but I loved them both- A Song of Wraiths and Ruin, and Thirteen Doorways were both incredible! ALSO, so many of them are on my TBR that I am extra excited for now- especially Fifth Season, Dig, and (thanks to you!) Raybearer, which I own! So glad you read so many good books this year!

  4. What a great list! I have read several on your list, and I would definitely agree with those selections - Fighting Words, Stamped, Long Way Down, Class Act, and Nickel Boys! I hope you are able to add to your favorites list over your break!

  6. This is such a cool idea! I wish people in my real life read so I could give them bookmark book lists. A bunch of these books are on my TBR list, so I’ll get to them eventually.

  10. I love that you made your lists into bookmarks--perfect! I received Class Act for Christmas and loved it! I also bought myself a copy of the graphic novelization of Long Way Down because I loved, loved (and still think about) the original. I read both on New Year's Eve (the original in 2018 and the graphic novel in 2020) as my last book of the year.
