TTT: Cover Lover

TTT (Top Ten Tuesday) is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl .  If you want to quadruple the size of your TBR AND find a bunch of great book blogs to follow head on over and check it out!

The topic this week is: COVER FREEBIE.

What fun! I definitely have some favorite styles of covers.

This is a collection I call "Black and White and Read All Over."

I haven't read Patron Saints of Nothing yet, but I do recommend all of the others.

And these are either "Starry Starry Night" or "The Moon and Stars Above."

Again, I really liked all of these books.

Sometimes I ignore books with ugly covers, and when someone convinces me to read them and they're actually great, I am all the more frustrated with their bad cover. We've been watching a lot of Schitt's Creek lately, so I call these "Ew, David."

Basically, I don't like orange or murky. Good books though!

To cleanse my palate, here are just some covers I adore that don't fit in the above categories. They have sort of an art deco vibe. Or maybe it's the birds?

I haven't read The Merciful Crow--it doesn't have great reviews. Love all the others, of course.

Do you have a favorite book cover? Mine might be Marcello in the Real World. Or Six of Crows. Or Aristotle and Dante. Or...

  1. I like all of these! If a book has a night sky with stars, I’ll probably read it. I seem to have a lot of red, white, and black books too.

Aj @ Read All The Things!

  2. I love your themes for the covers! That's so neat. I love the cover for Tess of the Road just because DRAGON! I'm a sucker for any covers with dragons. I've never seen the cover for All Out before, but I really like it! It's so pretty.

    Here's my TTT post.

  3. Wow! You really gave us more than just 10 here. Now I'm curious about That Inevitable Victorian Thing!

  4. I like that art deco type vibe too. All Out is nice. And I like the starry type covers. Marcelo in the Real World is very nice.

  5. Great topic. I'm always drawn to red, white and black covers. Great job!

  6. I like black and whites covers. I haven't read any of these books, well, I did tried reading "Six of crows' but I just couldn't get into it.

I do judge a book by its cover many times even though I really shouldn't but these are modern days, bad covers should not happen, at least, not to good books.

    Have a lovely day.

  7. I could never pick a favorite, nor could I narrow down what really catches my eye. It's a shame the Wendy Project had such a lackluster cover, because the animation inside was good.

  8. I think this is the best post of the day! Great collections!

  9. Wow. That black and white and red lovely are all of those together?! Thank goodness for your palate cleanser. I couldn't stand it if you'd left me with those disconcerting covers. The last are my favorites, I think. I want to be a book cover illustrator. It looks like a fun job. And you get to read all those books, too.

  10. Love your categories and your choices. I'm a sucker for books with moon and stars on the cover.
