Wordless Wednesday: Summer Books

It's late in the year, but I made this display today to get kids thinking about summer reading.

Then I put this together as a bingo sheet for my own summer reading.

  1. Very cool! Will your students have any way to let you know which of these books they read over the summer?

I once had a teacher who offered us a small prize for doing a little bit of math and reading work over the summer. It was a small school and she taught the same batch of students for both the fifth and sixth grade. So collecting your prize was as easy as showing up to her class again the next year. :)

  2. What a great way to fight summer slide! I hope your students will be able to find lots of these new books this summer and settle in for some days of delightful reading.

  3. Nice display. I was never good at that stuff, when I was teaching, so I gave a kid extra credit to an anime inspired mural on my wall. Lots of good books.
